The tutorial explains how to fingerprint a web server. Web server fingerprinting is a method by which the type of the web server is analyzed (IIS, Apache). We have developed a custom command line web server fingerprinting tool, developed with Python , which would generate a HTTP Get request to the required server. The output header of the server is analyzed and the appropriate information is retrieved to display the type of the server.
The tool can be setup on Windows and Linux platforms
